With the coming of the Chinese lunar New Year, the students at the University of Bacau, Romania also experienced the joy of the Spring Festival. First, Wang Guiping (a Chinese teacher) guided the students to watch a video about the Chinese Spring Festival in the aspects of its time and duration, origin, customs and significance. Then, she guided the students to compare the Spring Festival with Christmas, and found that there were many similarities, such as the family reunion, setting off fireworks, having dinner on the New Year's Eve and receiving red envelopes. During Christmas in Romania, parents would also give their children lucky money.

　　In addition, in order to allow the students to fully experience the Spring Festival, Wang Guiping guided them to write “Fu”, make paper cuts while doing other activities. She first introduced the meaning of “Fu” in China, and then taught them to write “Fu” with strokes and stroke order. For the paper-cutting, the shape of a lantern was chosen, and the students enjoyed it very much.

　　At last, Wang Guiping taught the students to sing the Chinese song “Happy New Year” as a way of ending the Spring Festival celebration in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Through this event, students obtained a general understanding of the Spring Festival, and were looking forward to participating more in celebrating the Chinese traditional festivals in the future.
